NINJA INSTRUCTORS
ROLE SUMMARY
Ninja Instructors at Salem Gymnastics & Swim are responsible for conducting Ninja workouts for athletes of different ages, abilities, and skill levels.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES (included but not limited to)
· Represent the mission and values of Salem Gymnastics & Swim.
· Represent the mission and values of Salem Gymnastics & Swim.
· The ninja instructor will primarily work with the Ninja director and possibly coach other classes on an as needed basis.
· Work closely with recreational gymnastics coaches and team to ensure productive, effective and structured workouts.
· Organize and instruct individual athletes and small groups in gymnastics & ninja equipment safety.
· Utilize proper spotting techniques as necessary with athletes
· Smile and have fun during the entire shift. Ensure that every athlete gets the same enthusiasm.
· Educate and enforce safety rules. Strive to prevent accidents and maintain discipline.
· Act as a brand ambassador at all community events and competitive meets by by representing Salem Gymnastics & Swim in a positive and professional manner.

· Assist in maintaining a clean and safe environment for clients, staff, and the public.
· Perform cleaning tasks on both the gym floor and its surrounding areas as needed or assigned.
· Attend meetings and training sessions as they are scheduled.
· Perform additional duties as necessary given by the ninja director, or company leadership.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
· Extensive training will be provided.
· A passion for working with children and youth.
· Knowledge of safety rules and precautions
· Professional demeanor and appearance
· Positive and effective coaching
· Use appropriate communication skills with athletes and parents.
· Able to handle a rigorous schedule including lifting, loading, moving equipment up to 40 lbs.
· Must pass a background check and keep certifications current (USA Gymnastics, CPR)
· Dependable motor vehicle transportation is a must
Compensation: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
For decades Salem has been the trusted name in Winston-Salem for gymnastics. The company was founded in 1980 for the purpose of providing a safe, professional but fun place to train the sport, and it has not disappointed. Many Salem students have remained in the sport as coaches, judges, State Directors, and even gymnastics school owners themselves.

In August 2001 Salem moved to its current location and expanded to offer martial arts, dance, Fitkids, and several other disciplines. Although some programs have continued and others have ended, our commitment to being a safe, fun, professional place for children to grow has never wavered.
After a near drowning incident involving the Morphis’ daughter, the longtime dream of owning a professional swim school became a burning desire. The 2016 addition of Salem Swim now fills the void for year-round warm water instruction dedicated to teaching swimming, from the first bubbles through the most advanced strokes in a loving, nurturing environment.
