🐥 About Stewie the Duck Swim School
In 1989, Kim and Stew Leonard, Jr. lost their 21-month-old son, Stewie, in a tragic drowning accident. From that loss came a lifelong mission to prevent drowning through education, awareness, and access to swim lessons.
Stewie the Duck Swim School brings that mission to life. Our first location opened in Norwalk, CT in 2023 and now serves over 1,300 children weekly. Our second location recently opened in Clifton, NJ, next to Stew Leonard’s farm-fresh food store.

🌟 About the Role
This is not a passive front desk job.
This role is for someone who:

- Feels comfortable having conversations that lead to enrollment

You’ll be the face of the swim school and a key driver of enrollment growth. You’ll build relationships with families, follow up with trial swimmers, help convert interest into registrations, and play an active role in the success of the business.
🏊♀️ What You’ll Do
Front Desk & Family Experience
- Welcome families with warmth and enthusiasm
- Create a positive, energetic first impression for every visitor
- Answer phones, emails, and in-person inquiries
- Give tours and confidently explain our programs and mission
- Ensure the lobby is clean, organized, and welcoming
- Celebrate swimmers with stickers, stamps, and encouragement
Enrollment & Sales Support
- Follow up with free trial families and prospective swimmers
- Build genuine relationships and guide families toward enrollment
- Convert inquiries into active memberships
- Communicate program value clearly and confidently
- Help families find the right class and schedule
- Track follow-ups and outcomes in our system
Operations & Reporting
- Pull and review enrollment and attendance reports
- Track trial conversions and identify opportunities for growth
- Assist with daily reporting and administrative tasks
- Support opening/closing procedures
- Help identify process improvements
Team & Culture
- Support onboarding and training of new front desk staff
- Lead by example with professionalism and positivity
- Contribute ideas to improve operations and customer experience
- Represent Stewie the Duck Swim School with pride
✅ What We’re Looking For
- Friendly, confident, and outgoing personality
- Comfortable talking to families and asking for the enrollment
- Strong communication skills (in person, phone, email)
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Comfortable using software systems (iClassPro a plus)
- Self-motivated with a “see it, solve it” mindset
- Able to work some evenings and/or weekends
- Sales, customer service, or hospitality experience is a plus
- High school diploma or current student with expected graduation
