Seasoned Swim Instructor

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced swim instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing safe and effective swimming lessons to children of all ages and abilities. The swim instructor will be responsible for teaching water safety, stroke technique, and other essential swimming skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan and execute daily swimming lessons for various ages and abilities.
Develop and implement appropriate swimming activities that are fun, engaging, and safe.
Ensure that all safety protocols and guidelines are followed, and that the pool and surrounding areas are clean and well-maintained.
Evaluate the progress of each swimmer and provide regular feedback to parents and pool directors.
Communicate effectively with parents, and other staff members.
Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and other aquatic-related activities.
Assist with lessons or swim programs as needed.

Qualifications:

Must have a current certification in WSI, CPR, First Aid, and Lifeguarding or be willing to get certified with us.
Must have prior experience teaching swimming lessons to children.
Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Must have a high level of comfort and experience in the water.
Must be able to work well in a team environment.

Physical Demands:

The swim instructor will be required to stand, walk, and swim for extended periods of time. The instructor may need to lift and carry equipment, and may be required to participate in other physical activities as part of the swim program.

Salary:

Rate $28+/hour. *Salary for this position will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.

All Physique Swimming instructors are Red Cross certified for WSI, Lifeguarding, First Aid, and CPR.
