Swim&Gym Summer Camp is seeking a reliable, attentive Lifeguard to oversee swim lessons and supervise open swim for campers throughout the summer season. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children in a fun, active environment while maintaining a strong focus on safety.
Location:
1001 Deming Way, Madison, WI 53717 (indoor pool)

Schedule:
- Mondays & Wednesdays: 11:15 AM – 3:00 PM
- Tuesdays & Thursdays: 11:15 AM – 1:15 PM
- Season runs June 10 – August 21
- Additional optional hours may be available on Fridays to assist with field trips
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide active lifeguard supervision during swim lessons and open swim
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all campers in and around the pool
- Enforce pool rules and respond quickly and effectively to any emergencies
- Support swim instructors as needed during lessons
- Maintain a clean and organized pool deck area
- Communicate clearly with camp staff and leadership
Qualifications:
- Current Lifeguard Certification (required)
- CPR/AED and First Aid Certification (required)
- Strong attention to detail and situational awareness
- Positive, professional attitude with the ability to engage with children ages 5–12
- Reliable and punctual
Preferred:
- Previous experience lifeguarding
- Experience working with children in group settings

Compensation: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour

Since 2003, Swim&Gym Summer Camp has provided hundreds of campers ages 5 to 12 years old the opportunity to develop active skills to last a lifetime. We have watched our campers grow socially, emotionally, and physically in a safe, positive environment. One-week theme sessions, providing flexibility to attend camp sessions around summer plans.
Member schools are independently owned and operated. Your application will go directly to the member school, and all hiring decisions will be made by the management of this school.
