SALES & CLIENT EXPERIENCE REPRESENTATIVE
Big Kahuna Swim Academy | Childhood Drowning Prevention Foundation
ABOUT US
The Childhood Drowning Prevention Foundation (CDPF) operates Big Kahuna Swim Academy (BKSA) — a private nonprofit swim school with one mission: to eradicate childhood drowning, one child at a time.
Drowning is the #1 cause of death for children under 5. Every lesson we teach matters. Every child we reach is a potential life saved.
Our niche is private, 1:1 swim lessons using our proven Learn To Swim curriculum, which focuses on the 8 Basic Water Safety Skills. We've delivered 25,000+ lessons across two locations in Norco and Riverside, CA — and we're growing.
About 30% of our students have special needs, with a strong emphasis on autistic learners. Our 1:1 model is uniquely built to serve this population, and it's one of the things we're most proud of.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Sales & Client Experience Representative is often the first voice and face that families encounter at BKSA — and frequently the reason they enroll and stay.
You'll handle inbound inquiries, guide families through enrollment, follow up with leads, and make sure every client feels seen, supported, and valued throughout their journey with us.
This is not a typical sales role. You're not pushing a product — you're inviting families into a mission. Our clients enroll because they want their children to be safe. That's sacred, and we treat it that way. The right person for this job understands that distinction.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Answer inbound calls, texts, and emails from prospective and current clients
- Guide families through enrollment, registration, and scheduling
- Follow up with leads in a timely, warm, and professional manner
- Maintain accurate records in our client management systems
- Support client retention by proactively communicating with families
- Assist with general administrative tasks as needed
- Represent CDPF's mission in every single interaction
WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Warm, professional communicator — on the phone, via text, via email, and in person
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks without dropping the ball
- Genuinely mission-driven — you'll be talking about preventing childhood drowning every day, and it should mean something to you
- Reliable: you show up, follow through, and don't need to be chased
- Coachable: you take feedback and apply it immediately, without defensiveness or excuses
- Emotionally mature: you represent our families with grace and professionalism, even on hard days
- Experience in sales, customer service, or administrative roles required
REQUIREMENTS
- Excellent face-to-face, verbal, and written communication skills
- Comfortable with phone-based sales and follow-up
- Tech-savvy enough to manage a CRM and basic scheduling tools
- Commitment to CDPF's mission — this isn't just a job for our team
COMPENSATION & DETAILS
- Starting at $19/hour, commensurate with experience
- Based primarily at our Norco HQ: 5th St and Hamner, Norco, CA 92860
- Year-round position
A NOTE FROM OUR FOUNDER
"The families who call us are trusting us with the safety of their children. I need someone in this seat who feels the weight of that — and shows up every day ready to honor it. If that's you, I want to meet you."
— Tenaya Goldsmith, Founder & CEO
Compensation: $19.00 per hour
